- Coating custom items and industrial components of different sizes and shapes
- Correctly setting up equipment for different powders, finishes and applications
- Loading and unloading wheels and other items from coating lines, trolleys and curing ovens

- Working efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Keeping the coating area, equipment and surrounding workspace clean, tidy and organised
- Following all health and safety procedures and using the correct PPE
Physical requirements
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position. The successful applicant must be capable of regularly handling and moving heavy wheels and industrial components, with appropriate equipment and safe manual-handling methods.
The role also involves working in a warm production environment around curing ovens and remaining active for most of the working day. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.
What we are looking for
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Hardworking with a strong work ethic
- A genuine interest in powder coating and producing quality work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to maintain consistently high standards while working at pace
- Willing to learn, improve and develop new skills and techniques
- Open to feedback and continual improvement
- Able to identify problems and find practical solutions
- Able to work independently when required
- A good team player who communicates well and supports colleagues
- Able to follow processes, instructions and health and safety procedures
- Committed to keeping the workplace clean, organised and efficient
Experience
Previous powder-coating experience is preferred, particularly experience coating alloy wheels, custom items or industrial products.
However, we may consider applicants without direct powder-coating experience if they can demonstrate the right attitude, reliability, practical ability and willingness to learn. Training may be provided to a suitable candidate, subject to our training terms and successful completion of the probationary period.
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Alloy wheel refurbishment
- Wet spraying or other paint-finishing work
- Shot blasting or surface preparation
- Working with industrial ovens or coating equipment
What we offer
- A varied role covering alloy wheels, custom work and industrial coating
- The opportunity to develop specialist powder-coating skills
- Ongoing learning and improvement
- A supportive team environment
- The opportunity to progress as the business grows
