We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to diligently.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect signs of criminal activity or disturbances.
- Utilise CCTV systems effectively to oversee the premises and respond promptly to any suspicious behaviour.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property, ensuring all entry points are secure.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
- Respond to alarms and incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and any actions taken.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed during emergencies or investigations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention practices.
- Familiarity with CCTV operations and monitoring systems.
- Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
