Assistant Manager – The Wildmoor Oak
The Wildmoor Oak is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our leadership team.
We're an award-winning gastropub in Bromsgrove, serving quality food alongside genuine, warm hospitality. We care about getting the details right, creating memorable experiences for our guests, and building a team that enjoys coming to work.
We're not looking for someone to simply manage shifts. We're looking for someone who wants to help lead the business, develop people, and continue raising the standards that have made us what we are.
About You
You'll already have at least three years' experience in a leadership role within hospitality, ideally in a quality gastro pub or premium food-led venue.
You'll be someone who:
- Leads by example and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
- Enjoys developing people and helping others succeed.
- Stays calm under pressure and makes good decisions.
- Has high standards and notices the little things.
- Takes pride in delivering consistently great guest experiences.
- Wants to learn, develop and grow as part of an ambitious business.
What You'll Be Doing
As Assistant Manager you'll work closely with the General Manager and Deputy General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation.
This includes:
- Leading shifts across the business.
- Coaching and developing the team.
- Delivering outstanding food and drink service.
- Driving standards in every area of the pub.
- Supporting recruitment, training and inductions.
- Helping deliver sales, labour and GP targets.
- Ensuring every guest leaves wanting to come back.
Our Values
Everything we do is built around three simple values:
Make Memories
Create experiences that guests remember long after they've left.
Be Obsessed with the Detail
Because it's the little things that make the biggest difference.
Happy Team, Happy Guest
A great guest experience starts with a team that feels supported, valued and enjoys what they do.
Why Join Us?
We're a business that believes in investing in people. If you're ambitious and want to continue developing your career, we'll support you to get there.
You'll be joining a leadership team that genuinely works together, challenges each other to improve, and celebrates success. We want someone who is looking for more than just their next job—we're looking for someone who wants to build a career with us.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
