Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food preparation and safety standards. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for guests while managing the smooth running of all restaurant activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist with food production and kitchen organisation to optimise efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Train new team members and support ongoing staff development
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering as needed
- Enforce health and safety policies across the restaurant environment
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to guests
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Previous experience in restaurant management or team management roles
- Familiarity with culinary processes, food production, and kitchen operations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Experience in serving or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication skills in English; personable attitude towards guests and staff alike
