Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playgroup Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of Aughnacloy Playgroup. The successful candidate will be passionate about early years education and committed to delivering high-quality care and learning experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with experience working with children in a playgroup or early years setting. This role involves guiding a team of playgroup assistants, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The Playgroup Leader will play a vital part in fostering positive developmental experiences and maintaining high standards of care and education.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Early Years or Level 5 qualification in Childcare
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an early years environment
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of child development and early years practice
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
