Children’s Therapeutic Support Worker
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, working on a shift pattern
Salary: £28,000 per annum including 1 sleep in per week

Yaffle Care is looking for caring, compassionate and resilient people to join our team, supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
As a Children’s Therapeutic Support Worker, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and supportive home where young people can feel secure, build confidence and develop the skills they need for the future.
Previous care experience is not essential. We are looking for people with the right values, attitude and willingness to learn. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, giving you the opportunity to begin a rewarding career in residential childcare.
Following successful completion of your probationary period, you will be enrolled onto a fully funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.
Your role will include:
- Supporting young people with their daily routines, including school runs, preparing meals and helping to maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming home
- Planning and attending activities that create positive experiences and memories for our young people
- Supporting young people to understand and manage their emotions
- Responding calmly, safely and appropriately to challenging situations
- Helping young people develop independence, confidence and essential life skills
- Building positive, trusting and professional relationships with the young people in our care
- Working as part of a supportive team to provide consistent, high-quality care
