Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with Curtainside vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Monday to Friday - Day work only
Duties
- Operate Curtainside lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety measures are adhered to.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries as per company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Ensure that all cargo is delivered in a timely manner while adhering to company standards for quality and safety.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the transport industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate Curtainside vehicles with proficiency.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
