We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team at Wolds Wine Estate, Nottinghamshire.
Nestled within our beautiful vineyard estate, our popular 80-seat café serves high-quality breakfasts and lunches from Wednesday to Sunday. We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, showcasing fresh local produce, and creating a welcoming environment for every guest.
About the Role
As Café Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day operation of the café, leading the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service while ensuring smooth and efficient service standards throughout each day.
You will be a hands-on leader, helping to motivate the team, maintain high standards, and ensure every customer enjoys a memorable visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting the front-of-house team during service
- Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer queries professionally
- Assisting with staff training, coaching, and development
- Managing daily opening and closing procedures
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering requirements
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
- Supporting the management team with operational duties and service improvements
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- A proactive and positive attitude with strong attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
