The Role
We are looking for an ambitious Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing London team.
You will take a leading role in the design and delivery of highways and drainage projects across a diverse range of developments, working closely with clients, project teams and directors to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of highway and drainage schemes.
- Prepare and oversee technical reports, drawings and specifications.
- Manage projects to ensure quality, programme and budget requirements are achieved.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and design team members.
- Mentor and support engineers, technicians and trainees.
- Attend design team meetings and provide technical guidance.
- Assist with project management and resource planning.
- Promote digital innovation and BIM-led project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and company procedures.
About You
Essential
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' civil engineering experience.
- Strong background in drainage and highway design.
- Experience using MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of relevant UK design standards and legislation.
- Experience with S104 drainage agreements and S38/S278 highway agreements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Minimum 3 years' UK-based experience.
Desirable
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng).
- Experience mentoring and managing others.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 19650.
- Experience delivering large-scale or multi-phase developments.
- Project management and contract administration experience.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
