We’ve built our reputation on honest advice, engineering excellence, and systems that genuinely deliver. Now we’re looking for a driven salesperson to help us reach more homeowners and close more deals.
About the Role
This is a high-autonomy, high-reward sales role. You’ll own the full residential sales cycle — from first contact with a homeowner through to signed contract — with a competitive base, uncapped commission, and the backing of an experienced technical team behind you.
You’ll run your own pipeline, hit your own targets, and earn accordingly. We give you the tools, training, and qualified leads to do that.
The company is growing quickly. We are expanding into new areas and new technologies, and you will be part of driving that growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Work warm and inbound leads — phone, email, and video — to qualify and convert homeowners into customers.
- Identify the right solar and battery storage solution for each customer based on their property, usage, and budget.
- Conduct on-site surveys to assess feasibility and capture the detail needed for a winning proposal.
- Brief our in-house design team and present polished proposals back to customers with confidence.
- Manage your pipeline with discipline: follow up on schedule, handle objections, and close.
- Hand over signed projects cleanly to our installations team and maintain the customer relationship.
- Hit monthly revenue targets and build commission on every deal you close.
Who We’re Looking For
- You don’t need to be a solar expert on day one — we’ll train you on the technical side. What we can’t teach is the drive to close, the discipline to work a pipeline, and the confidence to handle objections without flinching.
- Proven track record in B2C or direct sales, with demonstrated ability to hit and exceed targets.
- Experience managing your own pipeline end-to-end, from first contact to close.
- Confident handling objections and comfortable with a longer consultative sales cycle.
- Strong communicator: you can explain a complex technical product in plain language and make it compelling.
- Self-motivated and organised — you manage your own time and don’t need hand-holding.
- 1–2 years’ experience in residential solar sales is a strong advantage, but not essential.
- Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall 3 or Sigenergy systems is a bonus.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence, or a firm commitment to obtain one before the start date.
- Right to work in the UK.
Location and Hours
- Office-based at our Reading site, 5 days per week.
- Occasional home working by agreement when the role allows.
Pay and Progression
- Base salary: £30,000 to £38,000, depending on experience.
- On-target earnings: £45,000 to £55,000+, including commission.
- Commission paid on closed deals.
- Longer-term pay reflects the value you bring across sales, technical, operations, or leadership.
