What You’ll Do
Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working on a variety of projects in the North East region reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Manager.

The role will be a mix of office and site based work and will provide commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which they are responsible.

Ensure that projects are administered effectively and that the business objectives in terms of appropriate commercial targets and customer focus are achieved.
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Experience
-
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor, managing the commercial delivery of construction projects.

Extensive knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract, with a strong understanding of Construction Law and contractual risk management.

Proven ability to manage project budgets, cost reporting, cash flow, forecasting and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

Extensive experience procuring and managing subcontract packages, including valuations, variations and final accounts.

Strong knowledge of monthly CVRs, earned value analysis, accruals and commercial reporting.

Experience leading commercial negotiations with clients, consultants and the supply chain to achieve successful project outcomes.

Excellent commercial awareness, leadership, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior commercial team members.
