Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including, mocktails, coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate coffee machines, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times, adhering to health regulations.
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments using the till system, and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering queries, and offering recommendations.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and fully stocked with supplies throughout shifts.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any issues or hazards promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience in serving customers in a busy environment helps deliver efficient service under pressure.
- Basic food preparation skills are advantageous for assisting with light meal assembly.
- Good basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
