Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks using your own hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose faults accurately using specialised diagnostic equipment
- Replace or repair faulty components, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems etc
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician of 5 year or more or similar role within an automotive workshop or dealership
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Experience with diagnostic software is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
