Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves managing access control, monitoring the environment through CCTV surveillance, and maintaining a secure atmosphere at all times. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in loss prevention, incident response, and customer service, creating a welcoming yet protected environment for everyone on-site. Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points by checking IDs, verifying credentials, and authorizing access for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing for theft or vandalism and responding promptly to potential threats.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining security protocols.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary and coordinating with emergency services when required.
- Perform routine inspections of the premises to ensure safety standards are upheld and report any hazards or irregularities.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, access records, and surveillance footage as part of comprehensive security documentation.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or a related role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention methods is highly desirable.
- Certification as an SIA Door Supervisor is mandatory; candidates must hold valid SIA licensing before commencing employment.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while responding decisively to incidents or emergencies.
- Strong communication skills with a professional approach when interacting with diverse individuals on-site.
- Basic first aid training is advantageous but not required; willingness to undertake first aid certification is appreciated.
