Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join at team in Bridport for holiday cover. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to lift, move, and place materials on construction sites or industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate telehandlers to transport materials and equipment around the site.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and other vehicles.
- Ensure that all lifting operations are conducted safely and in accordance with industry regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations on site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with other machinery operations as required, including excavators.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating telehandlers or similar machinery.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS ticket
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Experience operating excavators is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
