As an HGV Tramping Driver, you'll be responsible for transporting Crane equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high safety standards throughout your journey. Duties
- Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) safely and efficiently across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling of Crane equipment during transit.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, Construction staff.
- Follow all company policies regarding driving hours, rest periods, and compliance with transportation regulations to ensure safety at all times
Qualifications
- Valid HGV driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating Articulated Lorries.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation laws applicable to commercial driving
- Experience with Heavy Haulage.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
