Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Years Support Assistant to join our vibrant team dedicated to nurturing young children’s growth and development. In this role, you will work 8am-2.30pm Tuesdays - Fridays and provide essential support within early childhood education settings, helping create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children in their formative years. Your enthusiasm and commitment will directly contribute to fostering positive learning experiences and supporting the overall well-being of young learners. Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in implementing daily activities that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Support children with their individual needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and engaged during play and educational sessions.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues to foster positive relationships and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support staff in supervising children during outdoor play, meal times, and rest periods.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
- Participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance childcare knowledge, early childhood education techniques, and leadership skills.
Skills
- Experience working with children.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices for child development.
- Maintaining a positive attitude.
