People & Development Manager - Job Description
Location: Hybrod - Remote and Manchester Central Office
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

The People & Development Manager will be instrumental in driving the development and engagement of our staff across all levels. You will champion initiatives that enhance employee experience, nurture talent, and align workforce capabilities with our organisational goals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive HR professional to make a significant impact within the Education & Teaching sector.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve people and development strategies aligned with Access Education Group’s vision and values.
- Lead learning and development programmes, including induction, leadership training, and professional development tailored to diverse educational roles.
- Manage talent acquisition processes to attract, recruit, and retain high-calibre individuals.
- Support line managers in performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment law and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Analyse workforce data and feedback to inform strategic decisions and improve staff wellbeing and productivity.
- Coordinate with senior leadership to identify organisational development needs and deliver effective change management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in HR and education sector development.
- Proven experience in a similar People & Development or HR role, ideally within the Education & Teaching sector.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation in the UK and best HR practices.
- Experience designing and delivering learning and development programmes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships at all organisational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant HR qualifications (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or above) are highly desirable.
- Competitive salary within the range of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.
