An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 3, Health Care Assistant to work within the Community Cardiac Service. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, enjoys providing excellent care and ensure patients are always put first.
We want someone who wants to learn and develop. The post holder will be based on one of our community sites but will rota around all community sites as per staffing level requirements.
The applicant will have experience in working within cardiology or a fast paced, high volume service and will need to be able to perform basic cardiac tests such as ECG. Working in an outpatient setting would be an advantage. The applicant will require good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant will be given appropriate training for other diagnostics carried out in the community.
To support a multi-disciplinary specialist team in delivering delegated care to patients
within cardiology.
Assist in the provision of care to patients, being supported and supervised by a
registered nurse.
To provide aspects of personal healthcare as directed and delegate by the multiprofessional
team
To support the provision and delivery of health care and health promotion advice in
order that patients are informed and empowered to make appropriate health choices
to support their independence
Carry out assigned duties which maintain hygiene, orderliness and safety of the
ward/department environment.
To be flexible in working practices and areas.
