About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Services Manager (Marketing) to manage the marketing and commercial performance of our client accounts.
Reporting directly to the Director, the successful candidate will translate clients’ commercial and marketing requirements into clear account strategies, project specifications, proposals, budgets, delivery plans and measurable performance objectives.
The role will coordinate activity across design, digital marketing, production, exhibition and operational teams. It will also monitor client satisfaction, project performance, commercial outcomes and the quality of service delivered to each assigned account.
This is a strategic marketing and commercial account-management role. It is not a call-centre, routine customer-support or general office-administration position. Primary cold calling and new-lead generation will remain the responsibility of the company’s business-development function.
Main duties
- Manage relationships with existing business clients.
- Understand client requirements and prepare proposals, account plans and project briefs.
- Coordinate with design, marketing, production and operational teams.
- Monitor project delivery, budgets, deadlines and client satisfaction.
- Review marketing and commercial performance information.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Support contract renewals, service improvements and account growth.
- Resolve complex client issues professionally and promptly.
- Maintain accurate client, contract and project records.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in client services, account management, marketing or commercial management.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Experience managing client projects, budgets and deadlines.
- Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate several projects at the same time.
Performance expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to:
Strong client retention and satisfaction.
Accurate and commercially viable client proposals.
Delivery of projects within agreed scope, budget and timescale.
Timely client reporting and account reviews.
Improved marketing and commercial performance across assigned accounts.
Effective coordination between client-facing and operational teams.
Proper maintenance of account, contract and project record
A university degree is not required. Practical experience and the ability to perform the role effectively are more important.
