Hours: 30–35 hours per week (flexible)

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our busy GP Practice. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting both clinical and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy in accordance with practice protocols
- Support the management and monitoring of Long-Term Conditions (LTCs)
- Carry out 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
- Perform and record ECGs
- Deliver adult vaccinations and immunisations in line with national guidelines
- Provide basic wound care and dressings
- Accurately record clinical data in patient records
- Ensure infection control and health & safety standards are maintained
- Support clinicians with patient care and health promotion activities
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as an HCA or in a similar healthcare role
- Competency in phlebotomy
- Experience in a primary care or GP practice setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in LTC management
- Competency in ABPM and ECG recording
- Experience administering adult vaccinations
- Knowledge of basic wound care
- Experience in asthma management (desirable but not essential)
