Job Description
We are looking for reliable and hardworking people to join our exterior cleaning team for student-friendly outdoor work.
This role is ideal for students, college leavers, university students, or anyone looking for flexible part-time outdoor work around their studies. You do not need professional experience, as training will be provided.
You will be trained on how to set up equipment, clean outdoor surfaces safely, prepare work areas, and complete jobs to a professional standard. Once trained, you may be able to complete some jobs more independently, with support available when needed.
The main work involves cleaning patios, driveways, pathways, decking, garden areas, walls, and other outdoor surfaces for residential and commercial customers across London, mainly covering South West London and East London.
There is also an optional door-to-door sales opportunity. This may include giving out leaflets, speaking to potential customers, and introducing our pressure washing services to local residents. This part of the role is optional and commission-based only, but can increase your earnings if you are confident, friendly, and good at speaking to people.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to carry out pressure washing and patio cleaning jobs.
- Clean patios, driveways, pathways, decking, walls, and outdoor areas.
- Help remove moss, algae, mud, weeds, stains, and built-up grime.
- Learn how to use pressure washing machines, hoses, surface cleaners, and cleaning tools safely.
- Set up and pack away equipment before and after jobs.
- Prepare work areas and help protect nearby surfaces, plants, doors, windows, and vehicles.
- Keep customer areas clean and tidy.
- Follow instructions and complete work safely.
- Speak to customers politely and professionally.
- Take before and after photos where required.
- Keep equipment clean and organised.
- Ask for support when needed and report any issues or concerns.
- Once trained, carry out some jobs more independently with support available.
- Optional: hand out leaflets and speak to potential customers about our services.
- Optional: carry out door-to-door customer enquiries to help generate bookings.
- Optional: earn commission for successful sales or bookings generated.
Requirements
- No professional pressure washing experience required.
- Training will be provided.
- Driving licence preferred but not essential.
- Preferably based in or near South West London or East London.
- Must be able to travel to agreed meeting points or customer jobs across London.
- Suitable for students, college leavers, university students, part-time workers, or people looking for flexible work.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Willing to learn and follow instructions.
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to carry equipment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Polite and professional with customers.
- Able to work more independently once trained, with support available.
- Confident communication skills preferred.
- Good speaking skills are beneficial, especially for those interested in optional door-to-door sales.
