Trainee Sales

This role is ideal for someone confident on the phone, motivated by targets and progression, and keen to learn the foundations of business development and outbound sales.

We’re a well-established structural steelwork company based near Bletchley, Milton Keynes delivering projects across London and the Home Counties. What You’ll Be Doing:
Working alongside a Senior Sales Estimator, your role will heavily involve outbound calling and helping generate new business opportunities. Daily tasks may include:
- Cold calling potential customers and introducing our services
- Following up leads and building relationships with clients
- Speaking confidently with businesses over the phone and by email
- Supporting the sales process from enquiry through to project completion
- Updating CRM systems and internal records
- Assisting with quotations, orders, and customer communication
- General office support and getting involved wherever needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Confident communicator who is comfortable speaking on the phone
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn sales techniques
- Motivated, resilient, and proactive personality
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on-site in a practical steel yard office environment
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to office location
This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career looking to gain real-world sales experience, develop confidence in business communication, and learn how to build strong customer relationships from the ground up.
