Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centered care that respects individual preferences, rights, and dignity
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and record clients’ progress, health status, and any changes in behavior or condition
- Support clients in accessing community resources, activities, and social opportunities
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and safeguarding policies
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care
Experience
- Previous experience working in social care or a related setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse individuals.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations relevant to social care environments.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for effective documentation and teamwork.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care are advantageous but not mandatory; ongoing training opportunities are available for your development.
Pay: £25,998.96 per year
