Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Waiting & Bar Staff member to join our hospitality team.
The key requirement for this position is availability every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
The role will involve both waiting tables and serving drinks, so we are specifically looking for someone who already has experience working in a hotel, restaurant, pub, bar or similar hospitality environment and who is confident dealing with guests independently.
There will also be opportunities for additional evening and weekend shifts, particularly when we are hosting weddings, functions and other events. Applicants who are able to offer additional flexibility for these occasions would be particularly welcome.
This would suit someone looking for regular, dependable part-time evening work who enjoys hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to guests
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Serve food efficiently and to a high standard
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Provide bar service when required
- Set up and clear tables before, during and after service
- Process payments accurately using the POS/till system
- Maintain clean and presentable restaurant, bar and service areas
- Respond professionally to guest requests and enquiries
- Assist with weddings, functions and events when additional shifts are available
- Work closely with the kitchen, reception and wider hospitality team to ensure smooth service
- Follow all food hygiene, licensing and health & safety procedures
Experience & Requirements
- Previous waiting, bar or hospitality experience is required
- Must be regularly available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm to 10:00pm
- Experience serving both food and drinks is strongly preferred
- Confident communicating with guests and providing excellent customer service
- Reliable, punctual and able to work without constant supervision
- Comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Experience working at weddings, functions or events would be an advantage
- Additional availability on evenings and weekends would be highly desirable
