We are currently seeking a self-motivated Class 2 Driver to join our existing team .
The role is 45 hours Monday to Friday 6:00am - 3.30pm with some flexibility dependant on customer needs.
Overtime available at £22.50 and expected
Your duties will include:
- You will be responsible for deliveries and collections of powered access and plant from a wide range of industrial and commercial premises, constantly on the go you will visit an average of 10 sites per day
- This role is to drive the 12t & 26t beavertail trucks and associated duties
- Driving MEWP’s & Plant - training will be provided
- It will be advantageous if you have experience of securing machines down with chains
- Completion of paperwork to meet company requirements
- In addition to your Driving Duties, we would expect you to be flexible and assist in Yard/Warehouse Duties such as machine cleaning and pre delivery inspections as and when the need arises
- 1st run machines for the next day to be loaded before the end of the working day
You will need:
- Upbeat, independent and self-motivated
- have a flexible attitude towards working hours
- Category C Licence, Digital Tachograph Card and up to date CPC Training is essential
- Well presented and good with customers
- Good knowledge of the Newcastle/ Tyneside/ Teeside/ Durham areas.
- Willing to work outside in all weather
- This is a very active job, you will be operating machines to load and unload, using the beavertail and winch, chaining down machines and locating machines on site. You will need to be physically fit.
