I want to share with you why this place exists — and why you’re now an important part of it. 12 years ago, SR Mailing was just a tiny idea. We didn’t have a big warehouse, a polished mission statement, or even much of a plan.
What we did have was a belief: the world didn’t need just another packaging company. It needed a better one.

Role and responsibilities
The Warehouse FLT Operative is responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient movement of stock throughout the warehouse using Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks. The role supports the day-to-day warehouse operation by ensuring stock is received, stored, replenished, picked, packed and dispatched to the highest standards while promoting SR Mailing's commitment to sustainability, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Become fully familiar with the warehouse layout across all warehouse units, including product locations and the full SR Mailing product range.
- Accurately pick customer orders using WMS, ensuring orders are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels within picking locations by carrying out regular stock replenishment using WMS with Counterbalance and Reach FLTs.
- Store inbound stock promptly and accurately using WMS.
- Ensure stock is handled safely at all times and stored in the correct warehouse locations.
Forklift Truck Operations
- Operate Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
- Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and report any defects immediately.
- Maintain valid FLT certification and comply with all safe operating practices.
Packing & Dispatch
- Ensure packaging methods are appropriate for the product, with a strong emphasis on using sustainable packaging materials wherever possible.
- Wrap palletised goods securely to company standards, ensuring products are protected during storage and transport.
- Prepare goods for dispatch in line with customer and company requirements.
Stock Control
- Carry out accurate stock counts using WMS.
- Report stock discrepancies to the Warehouse supervisor as required.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout all warehouse and external working areas.
- Recycle cardboard, plastic and other recyclable materials consistently in accordance with company procedures.
- Keep aisles, storage locations and workstations clean, organised and free from obstruction to ensure safe FLT operation.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, safe systems of work and warehouse operating standards.
- Report hazards, accidents, damaged stock or equipment promptly.
