Are you an organised, proactive HR professional with a passion for supporting people and making a real difference? We are seeking an HR Officer to play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service within our school.
You'll work closely with the Principal and senior leaders, managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll administration, absence management and compliance, helping to ensure our staff have the support they need to deliver outstanding education.
As our HR Officer, you will:

Lead the administration of the school's recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment requirements.
- Produce employment contracts, offer letters and contractual amendments.
- Maintain accurate employee records using school HR systems.
- Administer monthly payroll changes and additional hours claims.
- Monitor and support sickness absence recording and reporting.
- Maintain the Single Central Record (SCR) and support statutory workforce returns.
- Provide confidential administrative support for HR meetings and disciplinary hearings, including minute taking.
- Support managers with HR procedures and ensure compliance with employment legislation and school policies.
- Help create a welcoming environment by supporting reception and wider administrative duties when required.

Previous HR administration experience with strong organisational skills.
- Experience managing recruitment processes and employee records.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR or school management systems.
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
- A proactive, positive and professional approach to supporting colleagues.
