We are looking for a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a gentleman living with dementia in his own home. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised care, ensuring he feels safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night.
What you'll be doing
- Providing reassurance and companionship overnight.
- Supporting with personal care, continence care, and mobility where required.
- Monitoring wellbeing and responding to any changes in his condition.
- Promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care.
- Maintaining accurate care records.
- Following the individual’s support plan and company policies.
- Working closely with family members and the wider care team to ensure the highest standard of care.
What we're looking for
- A kind, patient, and reliable individual with a genuine passion for supporting people.
- Previous experience in care or supporting people living with dementia is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and observation skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.
- Flexibility and a commitment to delivering outstanding care.
- Either registered with SSSC or a willingness to register.
- Relevant qualification or a willingness to work towards one.
