What you'll be doing
We're looking for an HGV Driver to deliver our fresh produce to customers safely, on time, and in full, while representing Mash Direct on the road. You'll play a key part in protecting product quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring goods are handled correctly from yard to delivery point and that all vehicle checks, paperwork, and driving standards meet company and legal requirements.
You'll work closely with the Warehousing & Logistics team to plan efficient routes, load vehicles correctly, and keep customers informed. It's a role with real variety — part driving, part customer contact, part vehicle and compliance checks.
Your role will include:
- Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet customer time slots
- Load, secure, and unload goods safely, checking quantities against delivery paperwork
- Deliver products to customers courteously and professionally, resolving minor queries on the spot
- Complete all delivery notes, tachograph records, and vehicle documentation accurately
- Comply with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, and all relevant road transport legislation

What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Full, valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
- Current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations
- A safety-first attitude and excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
