Non-Ferrous Grader – Hengoed
SL Recycling Ltd is looking for an experienced Non-Ferrous Grader to join our busy Hengoed yard.
This is a hands-on role working within our non-ferrous shed, responsible for buying, grading, sorting and processing non-ferrous metals in a fast-paced scrap metal environment.
Hours
Monday–Friday: 7:30am–5:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm
Main Duties
- Buying non-ferrous metals from customers and suppliers
- Identifying and accurately grading different non-ferrous metals
- Sorting and processing material
- Preparing metals for onward sale
- Operating a forklift safely
- Keeping the non-ferrous shed clean, organised and efficient
- Working closely with the yard and weighbridge teams
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with non-ferrous metals
- Previous scrap yard experience
- Valid forklift licence
- Good knowledge of different non-ferrous metal grades
- Hardworking and reliable
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Confident dealing with customers and suppliers
- Good attention to detail
We are looking for someone who already understands the scrap metal industry and can confidently grade and process non-ferrous material from day one.
