Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Operative to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment and infrastructure within our premises to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on care equipment, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Repair or replace faulty components using skills in plumbing, electrical work, or mechanical maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes.
- Assist with installation of new equipment or upgrades, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Home Manager
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within an industrial or commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of general building maintenance.
- Experience in plumbing, painting, joinery highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a maintenance setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues across departments.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
