We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in coordinating daily nursery activities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies.
- Support the supervision and development of nursery staff, promoting teamwork, professional growth, and high-quality childcare practices.
- Contribute to creating engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s developmental milestones.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and families, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards.
- Help organise staff schedules, oversee routines, and ensure resources are effectively utilised.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership skills within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood environments.
- Strong understanding of childcare principles, early childhood education frameworks, and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to motivate staff, foster teamwork, and lead by example under pressure.
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation needs or outreach activities.
- Passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes children’s growth and development.
- Minimum Level 3 in Early Years Qualification Required
- Driving license is preferred but not essential
- An enhanced DBS check will be completed prior to starting at the Nursery
Pay: £27,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
