Overview:
As an Tyre Fitter, you’ll play an important role in keeping our customers safe and their vehicles performing at their best. Working as part of a busy autocentre team, you’ll inspect, repair and replace tyres while providing a friendly, professional service to every customer.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll work across a wide range of vehicles, carrying out tyre fitting and routine vehicle maintenance while developing your automotive knowledge and technical skills. Whether you already have experience or are looking to build a career in the automotive industry, you’ll be supported by an experienced team and ongoing training.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting tyres for wear, damage and overall condition.

Removing, fitting and replacing tyres on cars and light commercial vehicles.

Carrying out wheel balancing and tyre pressure checks.

Repairing punctures where appropriate and in accordance with safety standards.

Checking wheels and tyres to identify potential safety or maintenance issues.

Supporting wheel alignment and other routine vehicle maintenance activities.

Completing basic vehicle safety inspections and highlighting any additional work that may be required.

Using workshop tools and tyre-fitting equipment safely and correctly.

Providing customers with clear, helpful advice about their tyres and vehicle maintenance.

Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Working closely with colleagues to ensure customers receive an efficient and positive experience.

Following company procedures and health and safety requirements at all times.

Qualifications:
- An interest in cars, vehicle maintenance or the automotive industry.

Previous tyre fitting, automotive or mechanical experience is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.

A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.

Good attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Comfortable working in a busy, physically active workshop environment.

Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility for completing work to a high standard.

A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

Relevant automotive qualifications, such as a Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification, would be beneficial but are not essential for an entry-level or trainee position.
