Position: Teaching Assistant
Contract: Part Time, Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 (8.30 - 12.30am with a possibility to increase to full time and permanent contract)
Salary: £13.45ph (pro rata, term-time only, Green Book conditions)
Start Date: 01.09.2026

About the Role
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at Treleigh CP School, working in a Key Stage 1 class. This role involves supporting all pupils, including those with SEND needs, in collaboration with the class teacher, parents, and wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning activities across the curriculum.
- Assist pupils as part of a team with autism and/or moderate learning/medical needs.
- Run daily small group work and learning interventions as and when required.
- Carry out general class-based support tasks under the direction of the teacher.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience of working with children with autism and/or moderate learning/medical difficulties.
- Good written and spoken literacy.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs.
- A positive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- High expectations for children's achievement.
- Energetic, motivated, and with a good sense of humour.
