Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Support clients in adhering to their personalized care plans, monitoring health conditions, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Provide transportation for appointments, errands, or social activities using your driving skills to ensure safe and timely travel.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively.
- Use IT tools and electronic records to document care provided, update care plans, and track progress accurately.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and assisting with household tasks as needed.
- Foster positive relationships through active listening, empathy, and respectful interaction to build trust and rapport.
Requirements
- Proven experience in care or working within a care home environment is highly desirable.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record to facilitate client transportation needs.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic care records and communication tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight as required.
