Little Treasures Nursery are looking for a Nursery Cook to join our friendly and happy team. We’d love to hear from you if you are a team player, enthusiastic about planning and providing healthy and nutritious food for children and you have the following skills/knowledge:
- Experience of working in a kitchen
- High levels of organisation
- Good communication skills
- Experience of managing allergies and intolerances
This is a wide and varied role, which will include:
Providing nutritious, well-balanced diets for the children.
Ensuring children’s dietary needs, particularly serious allergies, are met.
Contribute to the menu development, adhering to our ‘home cooked, freshly prepared’ food ethos.
Manage the weekly food ordering and stock rotation/control.
Maintain our high standards of hygiene and continue to uphold our food hygiene 5 rating.
Adhere to food hygiene policies, standard operating processes and legislation.
Our salary and benefits package includes:
- 20 hours a week, 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- A team player

- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic health and safety and food safety
- Willingness to undertake further training as required
- Ability to undertake all physical aspects of the position
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience of working in a childcare setting
- Food hygiene level 2/3
- Knowledge of safeguarding and first aid
