Description: Garden and Grounds Maintenance Operative
Job Purpose: Operative to work with our team of personnel on both domestic and commercial contracts throughout the North-West of England.
Duties :
- Grounds maintenance works on both commercial and domestic contracts
- Soft landscaping construction work including – planting of trees, shrubs, beds and borders; seeding, turfing, practical gardening tasks, pest and disease control, weed control.
- Communicate with manager and colleagues
- Communicate with key client staff and external contractors where necessary.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach
- Compliance with statutory regulations including H & S regulations
- Use own initiative to satisfy client contracted needs
- Solve problems in a safe manner and escalate any necessary issue to the Line Manager
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience preferred
- Interest in landscaping and horticulture
- Self-motivated and good work ethic
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Physically fit
- Good interpersonal skills
- Team worker
- Full driving licence essential
Other Information:
- 40 hours per week
- Site is in countryside outside Alderley Edge and not easily accessible using public transport
