Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Women's 2nd Team Basketball Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players’ skills, coaching them in games, and running training sessions. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of aspiring female athletes while gaining valuable coaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to the skill levels of team members
- Develop personalised coaching programmes to enhance individual player performance
- Motivate players to achieve their personal and team goals through constructive feedback and encouragement
- Organise team drills, practise matches, and participation in local competitions
- Monitor player progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and development
- Foster a positive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork
- Collaborate with other coaches and sports staff to coordinate training schedules and team activities
- Ensure all training sessions adhere to health and safety guidelines and promote a safe environment for all participants
Experience
- Prior sports coaching experience, preferably within basketball or similar team sports
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and engage players effectively
- Experience working with youth or amateur athletes is desirable but not essential
