Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated CQC Registered Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our Supported living schemes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to service users, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of compassionate care professionals. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of assisted living, dementia care, and medication administration within a residential or home care setting. The ideal applicant will have previous nursing home experience and a proven track record in management and supervising staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the schemes across Essex, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management to promote a high standard of person-centred care.
- Oversee medication administration processes in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
- Ensure effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Monitor quality assurance processes to maintain safety, dignity, and wellbeing of residents at all times.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care delivery, staff rotas, and compliance audits.
- Lead on staff recruitment, training programmes, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure operational effectiveness.
Skills
- Extensive experience in senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and medication management.
- Proven management skills with previous supervising experience in a care home or home care setting.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Sound understanding of CQC registration requirements and compliance standards.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in care planning and documentation.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills tailored to residents’ needs.
