Duties
- Prepare and cook a range of pub favorites, including appetizers, mains, sides, and desserts, following established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients to ensure efficient kitchen workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked thoroughly and safely
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to guests or bar staff, ensuring presentation quality
- Support inventory management by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and notifying management of supply needs
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or pub setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and food hygiene standards
- Hands-on experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Familiarity with serving food in a busy hospitality environment
- Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of culinary practices related to pub-style cuisine
