Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building Services Operative to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance tasks, cleaning, painting and supporting the safety and functionality of our premises. Your expertise in basic electrical and plumbing systems will be vital in delivering a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and residents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical skills while contributing to a well-organised and high-performing residential development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine building inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including basic electrical and plumbing.
- Perform repairs such as fixing broken furniture, unblocking bin shoots, replacing light bulbs.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests and ensuring building operations meet organisational needs.
- Report health and safety concerns like icy pathways or fire risks.
- Be ready to manage waste bins, jet-wash communal areas and keep the bin store clean and tidy.
- Take part in team briefings and toolbox meetings to stay up-to-date and safe.
- Manage our digital reporting systems - full training will be provided.
Personal Specifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Health & Safety expert.
- Comfortable working outside come rain or shine.
- Physically able to move heavy loads - you'll be provided with specialist equipment to assist.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- You're committed and arrives to shift on time and sticks to the schedule.

Pay: £25,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
