We are currently looking for a confident and friendly F&B Host to join the Food & Beverage team at SCHLOSS Roxburghe Hotel. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 5 nights over 7. You must be available to work mornings, evenings and weekends.

The F&B Host provides the first impression of the guests dining experience, offering a warm welcoming and explaining the Charlie’s experience. The role consists of allocating tables and seating guests and elevating the guest’s experience.
The F&B Host will support the Restaurant Manager in Booking Management, including maintaining Opentable, sending booking confirmation emails and answering all guest Dinner Enquiries.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the warm welcome and personal care of the guests, as well as a strong and genuine goodbye.
- Allocation of tables for reservations.
- Maintaining Menus, including printing and updating where required
- Taking reservations and recording them onto Res diary correctly.
- Communicating with the kitchen the evening numbers and any dietary requirements.
- Recording on the tills, guest names, special occasions or dietary requirements.
- Taking initiative throughout the guest’s restaurant journey to enhance their overall guest experience.
- Enhance the guest journey throughout the F&B Department, liaising with other Restaurant and Bar Managers, Reservations and Reception
- Manage the Evening/Dinner Guest Communication and Requests
- Promoting a positive working relationship with Reservations and Reception to have the best possible outcome for our guests.
Your Knowledge & Capabilities:
- You have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships
- You are confident in handling guest feedback and complaints
- You use your initiative and take a practical approach to offering the best guest experience
- You are confident with completing administrative tasks and are proficient in Microsoft Office
Proven Experience/Qualifications:
- Proven 6 months experience within restaurants or luxury hospitality preferred
- Previous high-volume experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Opentable is preferred or experience with equivalent booking platform
