Childminding Assistant — Part-Time | Leyton, E10
I’m an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Leyton looking for a warm, reliable assistant to join my small home-based setting on a part-time, year-round basis, starting January 2027.
Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8.15am – 5.45pm
No specific childcare qualifications needed — but you will need a genuine love of working with young children, a calm and patient approach, and a willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check and a paediatric first aid certificate. Experience with babies and toddlers is a big plus.
What the role involves
- Supporting children’s play, learning, and daily routines Helping with activities, mealtimes, and outdoor time Assisting with simple observations and record-keeping Working within EYFS guidelines
What I’m looking for
- Reliable, trustworthy, and great with little ones Comfortable working in a home environment Happy to go through Ofsted assistant approval process DBS check required (can be arranged) Willing to obtain a paediatric first aid certificate
Pay
£15–£16 per hour, depending on experience
