Responsibilities
- Supervise children during breakfast and afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Lead fun, educational activities that promote learning and social interaction in both group and individual settings
- Assist with meal preparation, serving nutritious breakfast options, and maintaining cleanliness of eating areas
- Support children with their homework or learning tasks, encouraging independence and confidence
- Manage transportation logistics if driving is involved, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off routines
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress or concerns in a friendly and professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules, organize activities, and maintain a positive environment for all children
Qualifications
- Level 3 childcare qualification
- Experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles working with children is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and safety protocols
- Ability to drive safely and confidently if transportation duties are required
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus for bilingual environments
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth through engaging activities
- Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or activity plans as needed
