Role Overview
The Bar Supervisor will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the venue’s bars, cloakroom, and reception areas. Working closely with the venue management team, you will lead by example to ensure excellent customer service, adherence to licensing laws, and the highest standards of cleanliness, stock control, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise bar staff during shifts, ensuring service standards and operational procedures are met.
· Lead bar teams on shift, keeping morale high and motivating staff in a fast-paced environment.
· Oversee cloakroom and reception operations, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
· Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for customers and staff.
· Handle cashing up, till reconciliations, and accurate record keeping.
· Support stock control processes, including line checks, rotation, and waste management.
· Manage staff breaks around service, ensuring cover is maintained and operations run smoothly.
· Coordinate housekeeping for each service zone, ensuring cleanliness and presentation meet venue standards.
· Uphold licensing laws, health and safety, and venue policies.
· Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting the development of bar and front-of-house team members.
· Act as the point of contact for resolving customer issues and escalating when necessary.
· Support the wider operations of the venue, including club nights, live shows, and private events.
