Grounds & Garden Operative (Part-Time)
BLS Ground & Garden is a growing grounds maintenance company looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team for 2–3 days per week, with the opportunity to progress to a full-time position as the business continues to grow.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be working across a variety of domestic and commercial sites, including:
- Large private homes
- Schools
- Care homes
- Private roads and communal areas
No two days are the same, and you'll be working outdoors in all weather conditions, helping to keep our clients' grounds looking their best.
Job role will include:
- Cutting hedges, lawns and providing a very high standard of grounds maintenance across all of our properties and sites
- Planting, pruning, weeding, and watering plants to promote healthy growth
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and other landscape features
- Supporting general garden maintenance tasks as required by the organisation
- Soft landscaping
- Assisting with small hard landscaping projects such as fencing
What We're Looking For:
Experience in grounds maintenance or gardening is preferred, but it's not essential. We're more interested in finding someone who:
- Has a great eye for detail
- Is punctual, reliable, and hardworking
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Enjoys being outdoors in all weather conditions
- Is physically fit, as the role is physically demanding
- Has a positive attitude and is eager to learn/develop their knowledge in the gardening world
