Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder / Blaster / Prepper to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with various welding techniques and fabrication processes to produce high-quality metal components. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials, performing welding operations, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in metalwork to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Carry out alloy wheel welding and other welding techniques for repairs.
- Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and setting up workpieces for welding or blasting processes.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to shape, cut, and assemble metal parts.
- Perform blasting operations to clean or prepare surfaces for finishing or further assembly.
- Assist with the assembly of components using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure precise fitting and alignment.
- Conduct inspections of finished welds and assemblies to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following safety protocols at all times.
- Follow detailed instructions and technical drawings to complete fabrication tasks accurately.
Skills
- Experience in welding and other welding methods.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Good understanding of safety practices related to welding, blasting, and metal fabrication.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work consistently.
