- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Manage behavior effectively through compassionate communication and behavior management techniques, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Drive clients safely to appointments, errands, or social activities, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments with a strong understanding of patient-centered care.
- Knowledge of nursing home procedures, hospice care practices, and specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques.
- Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on senior care, including behavior management and medication administration.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
- First aid certification and the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties.
- Strong communication skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward caregiving roles.
