Parkhaven Children's Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI), Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or senior residential childcare professional to support the development and registration of a new 4-bed residential children's home in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a high-quality children's home from the ground up and supporting the provider through the Ofsted registration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the registration of a new Ofsted-regulated children's home
- Advise on compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Support development of policies, procedures and governance systems
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of a Registered Manager
- Provide operational and strategic guidance during setup
- Support preparation for Ofsted registration interviews and inspections
- Conduct quality assurance and compliance reviews
- Potential opportunity to act as Responsible Individual following registration
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Responsible Individual, Operations Manager, Regional Manager or Registered Manager within residential childcare
- Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Experience working with Ofsted-regulated children's homes
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Experience opening new children's homes
- Experience supporting Ofsted registrations from initial application through approval
- Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
About the Home
The proposed home will provide a family-style residential setting for up to four children and young people within a well-presented residential property in Westhoughton.
